Preschool - Mrs. Murphy
4-year-olds and Junior Kindergarten
The Preschool Experience Trinity Christian Preschool was established in 1969. Low teacher/child ratios, small classes, individualized attention, and experienced teachers highlight our well-rounded program. Trinity Christian Preschool is accredited through ACSI (Association for Christian Schools International). Children explore art, music and literature through various themes during the year. The indoor and outdoor environments are carefully planned to encourage choices and to foster self-esteem. We offer Monday through Friday programs, along with M-W-F and T-TH programs. Our Junior Kindergarten class is suitable for the child who may be old enough for Kindergarten, but needs the gift of another year from 12:30 – 3pm. Philosophy In partnership with parents, we provide a Christian environment in which each child grows spiritually, socially, physically, and intellectually. It is our purpose to develop the character of the children through Bible stories, daily prayer, Christian concepts, and love. We desire the young child to grow in their spiritual understanding of the Christian faith.
Hello and welcome to TCS Room 10! My name is Tina Murphy and I teach the morning 4’s and 5’s and afternoon Junior Kindergarten . I would like to tell you a little about myself and my background. I grew up in the area, just directly down the hill from Trinity. I attended Spring Valley Elementary and St. John of the Cross (where I still attend church) for elementary school, Mt. Miguel High School and received my Associate’s Degree in early childhood education from Grossmont College. I have been married to my husband since 1980 and have two grown children-my son, Patrick and my daughter, Denae and a son in law, Mike. On December 12, 2013, I became a proud first time Nana to my beautiful grandson, Loghen. I taught for 20 years at a school in El Cajon and have been happily at TCS since 1999.
I love teaching the little ones! Every day is a new experience for all of us and they are so much fun and so funny! It warms my heart to see their little minds begin to grasp our academics, but most of all it touches me when I hear them pray for each other and talk about loving Jesus. Thank you for sharing your precious children with me. God Bless You.
Mrs. Murphy’s Teacher’s Assistant is Mrs. Christina Tapia.
